Exploring new methods: EEG

eyetracker are always investigating the possibilities of integrating eye tracking with other relevant research methods. We are currently exploring relationships between eye tracking and electroencephalogram (EEG) technology. The EEG is a test that monitors brain activity by recording electrical activity, produced by firing neurons within the brain. It records the brains spontaneous electrical activity over short period of time from multiple electrodes placed on the scalp. Although more commonly used in medicine, EEG’s are also used extensively in neuroscience, cognitive science, cognitive psychology, and psycho-physiological research. The pattern of electrical activity is useful for recording the spontaneous reactions of brain activity in many situations. eyetracker have recently purchased EEG equipment to further explore this possibility under the guidance of a renowned and experienced Neuroscientist.
